Quack Quack!

My sister Denise gave Faith this duck robe for Christmas and I love it. I really don't think these pictures do it justice because it is a thousand times cuter on her than what is shown here. I have completely changed her bath routine at night to fit this robe in! I used to take her PJ's into the bathroom with me and put them on right after the bath. However now, I just put her g-diaper on and the robe after her bath and we go downstairs to make her bottle and then go upstairs and change into her nightgown.
It took Faith a little while to get used to what was going on. She was so used to her bath routine before. In fact it took her nearly a month to not cry when I would put the PJ's on in the bathroom. When I changed things up with the robe she would cry when I took her into the bedroom to put her down as she thought her PJ's were already on but she seems to be figuring it out again. What a smart cutie patootey! Yes I did say that!

I can't believe she is now 3 months old. I was watching 16 and Pregnant where they give birth and you see how tiny these little ones are and I then look at my baby and think, "When did she get so big!!" I just love her and love all the accomplishments she does as she progresses but I want her to stay little. A few weeks ago she really began cooing and smiling at her play mat toys. She would smile at them for a whole 20 minutes like she was having some hilarious conversation that only they were privy to. She holds her head up with ease now and we are really working on her Tummy Time. She looks like she is trying to fly when she does it.

Faith loves giving her mommy drama and causing her to meltdown when she will only catnap during the day and won't take naps. Not to mention taking nearly 2-3 hours to put her down between the back and forth placing and crib and crying ten minutes later! A week ago I broke down but wasn't mad this time. I just started crying in the kitchen after it had been 2 hours. Jeff hates to see me cry so he just hugged me. Well I guess something happened because the next morning and for the last 4 days she has been soooo much better! She may wake up once after like 20 or 30 minutes but I just pick her up and rock her another 5-10 minutes and she is back to dreamland. It has been so nice after the few nights in a row with meltdowns. Sure hope it keeps up!

Faith seems to be getting bored when we stay in the house. The same toys and things to look at are no longer fun for her. I have to wear her out somehow so I bought a harness thing where she will sit in it and is in the front of me so my hands are free and we will go walk around some stores so she can look around. She loves it and of course I do to because its shopping! Although I have to refrain myself from buying a lot. But it does wear her out and it helps with both our cabin fever and boredom. The hard part is trying to keep her up when we are headed up. If she cat naps I don't have a chance of getting her down by 8pm. So I can't go too far.
It is soooo fun to be the one to get her in the morning because when you open the door she stops moving or crying and looks up at you and just smiles!!! It is so cute!!! I love it! She has a few different smiles. One I call her blush smile where she will smile and turn her head away from you as though she is blushing. Another one is her half crooked smile where her right side of her mouth will curve upward and she will have a twinkle in her eye. And then my favorite is her crinkled nose smile.. Her eyes and nose will scrunch up. Its the cutest thing ever and the other morning I woke Jeff up because I was laughing at her so hard with all her smiles she was giving me.

On Sunday morning I was sitting in the glider after putting her Sunday dress on and decided to grab a book. I began reading to her and we went through 4 books. She loved looking at the pictures and its great to use during church because its quiet. So I guess I need to expand her library even more. I thought I was going to wait until she was 6 months but I think I am going to incorporate it into her schedule now! She'll be a bookworm like her mama for sure!
