6 Months Later....

April 4th will mark our 6 month anniversary!! We finally made it to our honeymoon. For those of you on Jeff's side of things, can you believe we have made it this far?!?!? J/K Jeff. No really we are so happy and had so much fun on our Carnival Cruise to Cozumel, Mexico for 4 days.

Our first night we ate a fabulous dinner. The waiters are fantastic as they are on most cruises. They lay your napkins in your lap and um... well there were 3 forks on my left. Another fork and spoon above my plate layed horizontally and to my right was two knives and a spoon. Um, okay I thought I had good table manners but I had know idea what to do with that many silverware. I know there is supposed to be a salad fork and a dinner fork.. but two knives???? quickly learned however that the knife and fork above my plate were reserved for dessert. The waiters after each course would remove which ones were not needed. I have actually never seen that before on any of my other cruises. Quite impressive!

They brought us lemon water to cleanse our fingers after dinner as opposed to wet naps!!!! Thats made me feel a little ritzy!

I know my husband happens to be a hairy man but I love the chest hair!!!! So manly!!! So I pushed him up on stage when they had a "Men's Hairy Chest" Competition. He didn't win. They chose a man who was wearing a speedo thong instead. GROSS!!!! But he still won a medal! And it was the funniest thing to watch him come down this big stairwell to some sexy song and take off his shirt!!! All in good fun!!

Jeff still needed to keep up on his studying and after a full day at sea in the sun we decided to relax on the back of the ship where its quiet and watch the water and sunset. Jeff studied a bit and I read Inkheart. It was so nice. I almost fell asleep.

Did we mention that there is absolutely no cleaning on a cruise ship!! For you non-cruisers who think it works like a hotel, it doesn't. In the morning they come by and make the bed, pick up your towels, and even better, they pick up your clothes on the floor and fold them and put them on a chair for you!!!! Seriously! and they pick up your scattered sandals and put them in the corner of the room so almost every time you walk into your room its clean!!! I love it! Night time is even better though. You come in to a clean room and there is ice filled in your bucket, and the bed is actually turned down for you so you can just climb right in but on top of it they always leave you with a towel animal. This night happened to be a pig wearing Jeff's shades!!! They leave you some chocolate mints on the pillow or sometimes they will use the mints for eyes if your shades aren't around. They have out the next days schedule of activities as well. Its fabulous!

This happened to be the "Captain's Dinner" or formal night. They usually have photographers everywhere with different backgrounds. I loved these two photos so we bought them. Of course, it took some much needed coaxing to get Jeff to agree. But can he really say no to me??? J/k sweetie!

The third day we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico. Its basically just an island meant for one to spend time on the beach. Rather than rent a scooter to get around the island Jeff thought we should just ride the crocodile..However the croc didn't seem to like that idea too much....

So we rented the scooter instead. Much safer or so I thought. Don't you love our helmets?

Jeff decided to let me drive for a bit... Um... that wasn't such a good idea. It was too much for me and neither of us felt safe. So I let Jeff take back over.

Isn't this sexy??? Big Boots and Big Guns!!! We had to head back to the ship a few hours later. Aren't they huge?!?!?!

And check out the blueness of that water?!?!? Isn't it perfect?

The next morning was a day to be spent at sea. It was so windy. All the storms that hit the U.S. still affected us while we were down in the Caribbean. I guess its true when they say that the flap of a butterfly's wing can cause a tornado halfway around the world. The wind was blowing down from the North as we made our way back and it made the day a little chilly. Look at my hair!

And this is my all time favorite picture--- hair in the face!

We decided to play a little mini-golf or "Putt Putt" as the ship called it. It was located up on the jogging track in the "city park". ha ha...

Jeff and I's favorite part of the whole cruise however was the two comedy shows. They had it the first night and the last night. We also attended the Adult shows at midnight hoping they wouldn't be too offensive.. They weren't too bad.. thankfully. This was us just laying down on a couch during the show.

The second best part was the "Newlywed/Marriage" show. Jeff and I wanted to be on it but no luck there. However they had a couple that had been married 14 years, a newlywed of one week, and a couple that was about to hit their Golden Anniversary of 50 years in a couple months. I can tell you which one was more funny. They had them sitting back to back facing away from each other and asked each couple ten different questions about their spouse. It was hilarious and Jeff and I still talk about it.

One question was "who would your husband rather be trapped on a deserted island with.. a hooker or a missionary?" and the old man put down a "hooker in missionary style" ..

Another question was what is your husband's most disgusting habit. The wife wrote that he farted too much but the old man said she would think it was that he touched himself too much!!! Oh wow!!!!

It gets even better people.... so they asked what it was like last night ... a) Fireworks on the fourth of July B) Thanksgiving dinner next to the turkey or C) honoring the dead on memorial day... The old wife said it was like honoring the dead but the old man put down it was like Fireworks on the fourth of July.... so we all busted up laughing and then the wife said... "what? please refer to previous disgusting habit."

That was the funniest thing I had ever heard!!!! They said this show might ruin a marriage and to exercise caution... I'm so glad we didn't go up there... or Jeff might not make it to the official 6 months!!! :)

Anyway, all family members... Jeff and I would like for everyone to begin saving their pennies now because we all want to go on a Disney Cruise in summer/Fall of 2010. We think it would be fun to get everyone together. Its about $800-$900 a person for just the cruise part. So you'll need to add in airfare but it will be fun. Let us know if you want to come and start saving now!

A fever has taken hold...

Jeff randomly decided on a Wednesday afternoon that we were going to visit his brother Jon and Liz and their 2 little ones the next day. So we got up at 4am so we could beat the traffic in Houston which is a 90 minute drive from our house. It wasn't too bad of a drive. Only 4 hours away so that was nice but we did have to take our own little one with us. And Nala was so good during the trip even though Jeff won't admit it... he loves her dearly and all the extra pain we go through lugging our own "child" around. :)

So this is us at the Alamo. I realize that this was a fort that housed women and children but I never entered a place before that they made you take off your hats and tell you to be as quiet as you can. Is that a Texas "proud" thing??? I think so. I guess its true when they say that Texans are very proud of everything Texan...

We went to the mall to hang out. Oh compared to the malls in SLC, it was fabulous!!! (as most malls outside of SLC are). Here is Jon and Jeff.. you can totally see they are brothers.

Oh look at this adorable little nephew of ours.... now can't you see the family resemblance??? :) Tee Hee... I so funny!!! This just happens to be the point of the trip where I'm sulking.... Yep!! My husband was nowhere to be found with me... He forgot his wife existed and became all about little Riley! Boo Hoo for me.. Someone pass me a tissue!!! :(

Ahh, during dinner Riley and his Dad had moments together!

Look at that face.. Jeff- I forgive you for forgetting me...

I think it hit us... the fever came ever so slowly... This is 3 month old Carson and what a cutie he is!

This is when Jeff and I realized we were both sick!!! Horribly sick... Jeff was holding Carson over his shoulder when I reached out my hands for my turn.. I mean, he had been holding him for nearly 2 minutes.. It was clearly time for me to have a turn. So when I asked for him, Jeff refused and I knew it!!! It had hit us both!!! I said to Jeff... "I think you have baby fever." and you know what he did? It was absolutely the cutest thing ever. He gave Carson a big hug and said "I KNOW!"
Uh oh!!!! Look at this.. Jeff and I both have baby fever.. Look out everyone.. a new baby may be on the way... and Jeff is so excited about it!
