Engagement Photos

So these happen to be my favorite engagement photos out of the ones we took. Shutterbugz is amazing. I love them!!! Totally worth everything and the owner, Steve is an exceptional guy! Can I say that this one is my favorite of us?!

So then there is this one which is more of a traditional pose but I like it.

I like the pillars in the background on this one and who doesn't love the kissing thing..
Come on!

Jeff has to look exceptionally hot in this photo!

And well of course I have to add in another of us kissing....

This is the one we decided to use for the wedding invitations because its well AWESOME!

I love the angle on this one. Man, our photographer was great!

I think this one was our photographer's favorite because he placed it on the cd cover.

Isn't the blur on this one great! oh and some more kissing of course...

Lets just call it a "Twilight" Adventure

My move to Texas b
egan and of course Jeff was with me. We began at 5:30am and things were going smoothly or so I thought when Nala after 1 hour was still panting and shaking like a leaf. I should have got a sedative for her. I would think her muscles would have been exhausted being held tight for that long. Well I told myself after a few hours she would be okay but um well... this picture was taken at Twilight that night and um.. well.. yeah.. you can see she is still crazed.. And look at that tongue.. Seriously!!! Put that away!

Speaking of Twilight... that book kept Jeff and I sane for the whole trip. We read it and finished it in 2 days with a few hours to spare before arriving to our new home the next day but at 3:30 AM so a 2 day drive... Here is Jeff reading to me.. he only read about 1 hour tops. I must say my voice is doing just fine for having read nearly 500 pages out loud! Yikes! There was a video of me reading but its too big to load. Sorry everyone and to think I was going to make you guess what part of the book I was reading.

Somewhere in Colorado we stopped at the Ute Museum, mainly just to take these photos and let Nala pee but aren't they cute. I think Nala wanted to make it her new home.. Anything to keep her out of the truck. Poor thing!

So one of my favorite parts of the trip had to be this hotel we stayed at in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were renovating the Day's Inn and had tape with marker written on it so you knew which room # was yours.. WHAT?!?!?! Seriously... it was so funny. Although I didn't appreciate the hammering that occurred at 8:30 in the morning. No wonder it was $35 cheaper than the hotel next door.

So the saying of "everything is bigger in Texas" has now brought more meaning into my life because look at the size of their boarder sign!!! What?!?! Its like the size of my bedroom!! Oh and lets not even discuss the fact that the exit sign which says nothing on it but exit with an arrow pointing is like 4 feet tall and wide!! Do they think we are blind?!?! Yeah well... um.. enough said about that..

This part beats the hotel though. Jeff decided to prove that men have a fetish with motored toys and its like they are a magnet being pulled to anything with a motor in it. He decided Wal-Mart needed help returning the handicapped shopping cart back to the store which someone left in the parking lot.....

So for those of you who are waiting for the video of my new home... I haven't completed it yet and will post it later this week while I'm in NYC. I have to do some cleaning to the house first so that you can at least appreciate the um.. well. I don't even know what to call it. But honestly, I do love this place. Its endearing! Jeff came home last night from work and said that it was actually looking like a home now.. because before lets face it... it just looked like wood thrown together to keep one out of the rain... :)

Until then...

6 Weeks Didn't Come Fast Enough!

After a lengthy 6 weeks apart Jeff and I finally got back together and it couldn't have come quick enough. As you can see I am very happy to finally have him back!!! Bad news for me, I didn't have any time for just "us" this weekend as we were too busy with all the wedding hoopla of meeting families etc. Not to say that was a bad thing because it most certainly was not but man... can a girl have some time alone with her fiance!!! Come on!!

We headed to Memory Grove for our Engagement shoot and seriously for all you people looking for a photographer, Shutterbugz was amazing!!! Both Jeff and I were absolutely ecstatic with the work that was done!! Then we headed to Ritz Tuxedos and Jeff was so convincing with talking me into having him wear a white tuxedo. All he had to do was try it on and I thought he looked so sharp I immediately gave in!! What a hottie! We then went to Temple Square and met Jeff's brother, Michael and his wife Katie. They look so much alike. Can you see?

Following that, yep, I know the day still wasn't over... we went bowling with his brother and my family. My little 15 month old niece even thought she would have a try at it... Seriously, how cute. Mom didn't get much bowling in. She let Natalie do it for her... now seriously Mom, you can't be that bad!!! We promise not to make fun of your score! We then headed home to eat dinner, enjoy the rest of the night playing Rockband and oh yeah.. its 9pm now and the day events still aren't over. We headed over to Michael's to play more video games and stay over! Man, can I have a moment alone with Jeff.... PLEASE!
Sunday comes and we headed to church to meet the Bishop and confirm the wedding with him. Then we were on our way to Lagoon to spend some fun time at half the price but we needed cash for parking. My mom has a scooter.. yes she's in her 50's and is driving around town on a mini-motorcycle! She's quite the woman I assure you! I love it! But she let Jeff and I take it on a mini ride to the bank and back. I think Jeff enjoyed it more than I since the first 10 seconds were spent thinking I was going to die. Now of course I loved it! Besides, its a great way to get close... ;) I'm so bad!

On our way to Lagoon and I hitched a ride!!! :) Jeff sure makes it easy not to have to walk! So I've come to the conclusion that amusement parks are only meant for kids or teenagers because this girl does not like waiting in lines. Even the fake smile on this picture proves it! But seriously the rides are fun but not like when you're younger. I kept thinking I'd rather be lying in a bed somewhere napping or watching a movie!! How sad am I. Jeff agreed so I guess it can't be that weird or can it? Okay so I'm a loser!

Moving on....

Look at my niece.. her eyes are so glazed over! Too much stimulation and snacking... but she loved every minute of it or so her parents forced themselves to think so they wouldn't feel like the worst parents in history! Lets face it she needed a nap! Oh and isn't this picture the greatest.. Jeff and I smashed her out of it!!! Poor kid!!!

So here we are in line for the Rattlesnake Rapids or whatever the ride is called and boring ourselves having to hear the recorded old man with his crickety old voice like 9 times! I'm sure they meant for us to only hear it once. Either that or they want us to have deja vu so we won't feel like we weren't waiting in line for over 45 minutes.. Even though we got soaked and enjoyed the ride... I still think the ice cream was my favorite part of the day. Yeah a double scoop of Dreyers Mint Chocolate Chip and the day was finally over and so was the weekend.
Tomorrow we pack up and head to my new home in Beaumont, Texas but I'm just excited to spend some time alone with Jeff... Finally!!!!

Partying like Rockstars.... or NOT!

So after inviting myself through a third party (Sorry Chris) to this Rockband Party I show up to find out how to party like a rockstar!! Now in the end you may see some of these photos and think that we look more like robotic drones than rockers but let me assure you we did have fun and party all night long... well if you count a day or night as ending at 9pm. Yeah so we're grandma rockstars. Whatever... So here we are... I think I even look pissed off.. but I assure you I'm smiling in my head.
Yeah so anyway this happy bunch continued to have fun being rockstars. see for yourself. I'm rocking out with guitar, Charise on drums, and Steve our leading man with the vocals! Shhh, don't let anyone convince you that I didn't know what I was doing. They might say that I forgot to strum while playing the guitar but seriously... who forgets to strum? ;)

So now that you've seen our insane little band, check out us rockers having fun and getting some grub! Does Steve always make faces in pictures, I guess so!
So I think the girls rocked out the best!! Or maybe I'm just biased towards my own gender species! Well Charise sure kicks butt on the drums.. I'm not sure who was better Patrick or her?!?!?! Maybe we should vote on it?

Well this band doesn't seem so bad.. The boys certainly look relaxed. Who's the hot chick singing?... oh she looks like she knows what she's doing but well the crowd kicked her off stage... Um.. Yeah... She didn't even know the Bon Jovi song!!! Yeah, who put her up to singing?!?!?!?!
